As a previously healthy individual with boundless energy and a very active lifestyle, I was devastated when the combination of a workplace injury and a chronic illness disabled me. Life has been beyond challenging, yet I still do my best to try and remain positive.
It really is the truth: IF YOU HAVE YOUR HEALTH, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING!
I have been a community nurse since 1990. After a devastating workplace injury in 2007, I finally improved, due to good pain control in 2010, and returned to the job I loved. After working 7 months without incident, my employer disposed of me because I represented a risk to their bottom line, MONEY. Now I am in the middle of a Human Rights case that I truly do not want. I simply want my job back. Period!
Although I have 20 years of nursing experience and all of the posts here are as accurate as possible, the information provided on this site is meant to complement and not replace any advice or information from a health professional.
