lol a letter to the thyroid. Mine would read like this -
Dear thyroid,
Why must you fluctuate all the time - going from hypo to hyper and making me feel like crap? I take my meds in the morning and eat like I should, but what exactly did I do to deserve this attitude from you???
Respectively, That Girl You're Screwing With On A Daily Basis (lol)
I just read your thyroid letter and it's fantastic! You made me laugh but I'm sad for you at the same time. One time Melissa Ralston did a guest blog post for me that was a letter to her endometrial tissue cells. It was a similar idea... writing to a body part. Great job!!
Thanks for the comment endochick- You should write a letter to your thyroid as well and send it along to them. Sounds like yours would be a winner for sure...:>)
Hi kwm-I would love to read your letter to your nerves! It sounds silly, yes and I felt a bit silly doing it, however it was a little cathartic and I actually laughed the whole time. :>)
Hi Jeanne, Thank you for the kind comment, it felt odd doing it but it was funny. The treatment for the Hodgkin's lymphoma was many years ago-unfortunately it damaged my thyroid, heart, lungs, spinal cord...some days I really wish I didn't have that treatment... Take care & thanks again for a great comment!
Hang in there sweetie! I"m trying to take day by day. Right now I'm battling a Staph infection and wondering how the hell I got that since all I seem to do is sit on my big ass! LOL! I've emailed the Doctors to see if they will help me with my mobid obesity but as I didn't hear back from Ellen and Dr Oz I doubt anything will happen. I just ask God to get me through the next day and that is all I can do. Sorry I haven't been on Twitter much, but hopefully by the end of next week I'll be my regular annoying self. How is the book coming? I've put a new poem up today. Well I don't want to give you another book to read LOL! Rainbows to you, Angie/Onchee1970
As a previously healthy individual with boundless energy and a very active lifestyle, I was devastated when the combination of a workplace injury and a chronic illness disabled me. Life has been beyond challenging, yet I still do my best to try and remain positive.
It really is the truth: IF YOU HAVE YOUR HEALTH, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING!
I have been a community nurse since 1990. After a devastating workplace injury in 2007, I finally improved, due to good pain control in 2010, and returned to the job I loved. After working 7 months without incident, my employer disposed of me because I represented a risk to their bottom line, MONEY. Now I am in the middle of a Human Rights case that I truly do not want. I simply want my job back. Period!
